Hi there and I’m so glad you found me!

My name is Hillary Bamont and I’m a full-time working mom of 17-year old twin boys.  I was born and raised in the Northern California town of Millbrae and still reside in the Bay Area. Starting a blog has been my lifelong dream and it’s a creative outlet for me to showcase the power of positivity and strength through fashion and style. My biggest supporter of starting the blog was my late husband, who unexpectedly passed away in April 2016. Since his passing, I’ve had many signs that he would want me to continue what I was doing and that’s exactly what I’m going to do.

I’ve known first-hand the lack of resources for curvier, trendier women sizes, so I decided to fill the void. I have always been curvy. At my thinnest in my adult life I was a size 10 and instead of fighting my body composition I embraced it and what would happen next was something I never imagined: I was inspiring others to feel good about themselves and aside from the birth of my children, it was the most rewarding feeling I’ve ever had. I stopped thinking about becoming thinner and I focused on becoming stronger, better human being with a more positive attitude. I started a daily promise to myself that I would help others feel good about themselves through daily fashion inspiration for the everyday woman.

So enough writing – let’s get down to what this blog will be about:

Icons-01Daily fashion inspiration for females of all ages: You see, I’ll never be tiny.  Therefore, I am dedicating this blog to the girl who wants to feel great about her beautiful curves.  Tiny girls are welcome too!  We don’t discriminate here.  Bottom line is we all have one thing in common, no matter what size we are, we need to learn to love ourselves before we can truly be happy.

Icons-02Fashion tips and tricks for the curvy girl: Where is the best place to shop for plus sizes? What kind of boots fit wider calves?  How do I wear cute tops without showing my bra?  Everyday answers to curvy girl probs.  You will find them here and I hope I can help.

Icons-03A few of my favorite things:  Each week I’ll write about products that I stumbled across and that I’d love to share with you (please note I do not receive endorsements from any brands – everything I recommend is based off of personal taste!)

Icons-04The Red Stiletto Diaries: This is a section dedicated to my late husband.  A journal of thoughts, feelings and inspirations for young widows who may be joining this club we all don’t want to be a part of.  Let’s get through this together.  You are not alone.

Icons-05Also check out my shop page: Here you will find links to great brands that understand the everyday woman and what she wants (and we don’t want circus tents, that’s for sure!!!)

I hope to become great friends with you and inspire you to be your best.  Because you deserve it.  We deserve it.  Let’s get started!!

I partner with brands that I like, which I blog about here and I always announce in a blog post when I will be partnering with a brand. I keep my integrity by only posting things I truly like and note in a post if something was received courtesy of a brand. I use affiliate links for products I love, which means I make a small percentage of a linked product if you choose to purchase it. All opinions on this blog are my own. Although I work with brands, I never allow them any control over the written content of posts.
